J Smith Esquire stands for excellence, elegance, and artistry in luxury millinery. Founded in 2007 by Justin Smith who has had a lifelong passion about all things for the head. With his great-grandmother being a milliner and his grandmother an embroider, making hats was in his heritage. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art his label has grown from fashion to film, with pieces now in the hands of international collectors. Justin’s work is exhibited worldwide and is permanently held in museums like London’s V&A and New York’s FIT.

Highly desirable bespoke hats and innovative showpieces that respects traditional skills while pushing the boundaries of convention have made him a leading name in luxury millinery with a prestigious portfolio of clients. J Smith Esquire’s millinery and accessories regularly feature in major motion pictures, streaming and television series. Justin designs in collaboration with costume designers to develop characters and convey stories.
