So where should we start in Boston?
It has to be the Freedom Trail

Follow the Red Brick Path! Tracing the birth of a nation, the Freedom trail winds its way through the city, connecting 16 historically significant sites. What better way than to get a living history lesson through some of the most important events and places of the American revolution. Go early to avoid the crowds and don’t forget to enjoy the surrounding neighbourhoods!

From historians to art lovers…….Boston’s best kept secret…the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

This is a favourite thing to do – a palatial home resembling a 15^th century Venetian palazzo transports you through time around the world. The centrepiece courtyard will take your breath away! This prolific art collector stuffed her home full of treasures, from works by Italian masters to ancient antiquities. The famous art heist here in 1990 still remains unsolved as you will see from the empty frames that hang. When your senses can take no more from this beautiful place, relax in the museum's Café G and enjoy the gardens.

For an altogether different pace…..

Street scenes in Boston

Soak up the spaces and neighbourhoods this vibrant city has to offer. Linger in Back Bay and enjoy Newbury Street with its boutiques and galleries or head to North End for this hive of Italian culture, best seen by eating your way around the district! And for those who love their seafood, head to the Seaport district for the best lobster rolls, clam chowder, oysters and other fruits of the sea.

And finally the very serious question of where for our aperitivo! For us it has to be the Fed cocktail bar at the Langham. Housed in the former Federal Reserve Bank of Boston this is a cool place to drop in for your favourite tipple!
