It has to be a walk of the 16th century city walls!
Built around the old town of Dubrovnik and the seashore, the 25m high walls dotted with fortresses to protect the town from pirates are the perfect place to see and enjoy this beautiful walled city. Built between the 12th and 17th centuries, the walls are one of the most impressive and beautiful examples of medieval Europe. The 2km walk offers breathtaking views of the city’s terracotta roofs and the sparkling Adriatic. Go early to avoid the crowds and midday sun!
For a love of nature it has to be Lokrum island…..
his is a favourite thing to do - take a short 20 minute boat ride from Dubrovnik to the island of Lokrum.
